Designer Lucien Boullemier left Maling Pottery in 1936 for the Newhall factory in Staffordshire and carried on with his trademark "Thumbprint" designs. This is such a vase in green thumbprint with a black and white decorated border. It stands 8" (20 cms) high and is in fair condition. The gold gilding to the top edge is rubbed and there are some minor, small, paint flakes. Larger white marks on the photograph are reflection marks. |
