A very fine Chinese blue and white porcelain tea bowl made between 1723 and 1735 and decorated with a beautiful Chinese floral scene. It was recovered from the famous Ca Mau shipwreck which sank off the South coast of Vietnam and was carrying a cargo of fine porcelain and pottery destined for the European market. It was salvaged in 1998/9. This particular tea bowl that we are offering measures 40mm in height and 65mm wide. The condition is very good and is a stunning bowl of high quality. It is authenticated by the curator of the Sygun Museum of Wales and a certificate of authenticity is included. |
