Figures, or figurines, by Royal Doulton fill a very special place in the minds of todays collectors. The HN series (named after Harry Nixon the senior painter at the time) first started in 1913 and have been in continuous production ever since. Offered is Stephanie, a Royal Doulton figurine, designed by Peggy Davies and issued between 1983 and 1994. Stephanie is a graceful young woman with her hair piled up on the top of her head showing her long elegant neck. She is wearing a long red dress with a tight fitting bodice that shows off her petite waist, decorated with tiny flowers that has full three-quarter length cuffs. A dainty foot in a red shoe shows under her full white petticoats. Her height is 7.25” and she is in perfect condition. Her value in the 11th edition of the Charlton Catalogue is £150. |
