Figures, or figurines, by Royal Doulton fill a very special place in the minds of todays collectors. The HN series (named after Harry Nixon the senior painter at the time) first started in 1913 and have been in continuous production ever since. Offered is Maxine, a Royal Doulton figurine issued in 1989 and retired in 1990 and designed by A. Hughes. She is a woman with shoulder-length brown hair dressed with a pink and white bow. She is wearing a long pale pink skirt with a pale blue coat that has a white collar and cuffs. She is pulling on one of her long white gloves. She is 8.5” tall, 1st quality and in perfect condition. Her value in the 11th edition of the Charlton Catalogue is £175. |
