Figures, or figurines, by Royal Doulton fill a very special place in the minds of todays collectors. The HN series (named after Harry Nixon the senior painter at the time) first started in 1913 and have been in continuous production ever since. Offered is Lavinia, a Royal Doulton figurine designed by Leslie Harradine and issued between 1940 and 1979. She is a pretty young girl in a long red dress and a white bonnet trimmed with a purple bow. She is carrying a basket of flowers (could be purple Iris’s) and is holding a flower to her chest. She is 5” high and in perfect condition. Her value in the 11th edition of the Charlton Catalogue is £85. |
